Jewelry is the ultimate functional precious metal. However, the jewelry market is full of thin, impure, and often plated pieces. The value of the precious metals contained in a commercial pendant is typically worth only a few pennies. What's more, the impurity and plating means common jewelry must be refined to extract the valuable metals.

How are your pendants made?

When we say, "handmade", we mean it. From our humble workshop in sunny Florida, we handmake our pendants from start to finish. This includes handmaking molds, casting, and hand finishing every piece. These are not pendants purchased in bulk from overseas resold at a premium. Every WhollyPure pendant is unique, and made by American born hands.

What does "pure precious metals" mean?

Most sterling silver jewely is about 92% silver. In addition, these impure pendants are often plated with rhodium (which requires re-plating). Our pendants are 99% pure silver; like an investment you can wear.

What precious metals do you use?

We currently handcraft all WhollyPure pieces using investment-grade .999 fine silver.

Is pure jewelry durable?

Pure precious metals are a bit softer than typical 92% alloys. However, our pendants will not "break" without serious force. The surface of pure metal jewely will acquire tiny imperfections over time, which we think gives them character. Pure jewelry also does not require re-plating, and superficial imperfections can usually be buffed out.

Do you make the chains and clasps?

We currently do not make chains, rings or clasps in house. However, they are made with .925 sterling silver, and are included for FREE with your purchase.
